Description of Duties

The Assistant Parking and Transportation Program Manager (APTPM) assists the Manager in the day-to-day execution of parking management and transportation duties including parking assignment and utilization, valet operations, access control, financial management, transportation planning and coordination, and other duties as assigned. The incumbent keeps records of financial transactions for organization facilities; serves as parking facilities assistant when needed; coordinates identification card process used to enhance organization security and to manage facility access privileges; accepts authorization forms from employees, contractors and volunteers; validates correct access levels and produces photo ID cards using established protocols; performs complex facility operations, administrative and general office duties; transcribes, types, maintains records and files, distributes mail; performs telephone reception; welcomes and directs on-site visitors; duplicates and distributes photocopies; routes faxes; reviews work assignments of various subordinate levels to enhance administrative support efforts and meet department objectives; participates in the team or group work activities in the office; performs the above duties and responsibilities in a complex and confidential environment requiring limited supervision with considerable latitude for utilizing judgment and initiative. The incumbent works directly for and fills in for the Manager when the Manager is absent.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of five years of full-time administrative office experience including at least two years in a financial accounting, auditing or parking program administration role and one year in a supervisory or managerial role; or an Associate’s degree and a minimum of seven years of full-time administrative office experience including at least two years in a financial accounting, auditing or parking program administration role and one year in a supervisory or managerial role; or a High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and a minimum of nine years of full-time administrative office experience including at least two years in a financial accounting, auditing or parking program administration role and one year in a supervisory or managerial role. The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree (or 120 hours equivalent credit hours). Roswell Park experience with McGann, eParcSuite, and/or Lenel (Access Control and Video Systems).
