Description of Duties:
The Administrative Assistant I functions as a para-professional, typically assigned to administrative departments, such as Finance, Planning, Human Resources or the Executive Office. The Administrative Assistant I also performs duties in support of professional staff related to the function of their assigned department.
Applicants must have an Associate’s degree and the equivalent of three years of full-time secretarial or related experience; or a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of four years of full-time secretarial or related experience. The preferred candidate will have an Associate's Degree and at least three years of secretarial or related experience. They will also have experience tracking expenses and processing invoices and will be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. They will be able to work independently and demonstrate a high attention to detail, will have strong communication skills to support interactions with staff regarding payroll and general information sharing. they will also support interdepartmental communications to departments, including purchasing and accounts payable.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
