Description of Duties:
The Administrative Assistant I provides direct administrative support for the Chief of the Division of Cytopahtology within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Provides administrative support to Pathology and Laboratory faculty assigned to the division. Responsible for the operation of the division administrative office. Routine responsibilities include departmental data management and validation, internal and external correspondence/coordination with external agencies, academic affiliations, and other Roswell Park departments. Responsible for the coordination and data recording of Instittute level committees and task forces. Provides administrative support for departmental activities including timekeeping, grant submissions, and education activities. Provide administrative support to the Daemen/RPCI Cytotechnolgy school.
Applicants must have an Associate’s degree and the equivalent of three years of full-time secretarial or related experience; or a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of four years of full-time secretarial or related experience. The preferred candidate will have previous experience in grant submission/routing and in executive level support. The candidate will have the ability to work with a diverse population and excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
