Description of Duties:
The Administrative Assistant I assists the department chair. The Administrative Assistant I Functions as a para-professional, assigned to the Dental Clinic. They perform duties in support of professional staff related to the function of the Dental Clinic.
Applicants must have an Associate’s degree and the equivalent of three years of full-time secretarial or related experience; or a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of four years of full-time secretarial or related experience.The preferred candidate will have a strong background in grant proposal preparation and processing, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated proficiency at the advanced level in Microsoft Office Word and Outlook, as well as working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. They will also have the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, excellent organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
