Coming This Summer: Free Mindfulness Course to Reduce Stress

Patients, survivors, caregivers and loved ones can all experience stress as the result of a cancer diagnosis. Mindfulness — a philosophy that emphasizes “living in the moment” — is one way to reduce that stress.

Felicitas Kusch-Lango, an expert in the field, is coming to Roswell Park this summer to teach a free six-week course on mindfulness stress reduction. The course will be held from noon-1 p.m. on consecutive Thursdays, beginning June 21 and ending July 26. Patients, survivors, caregivers and others whose lives have been affected by cancer are welcome to participate.

You must register for the course, and due to space limitations, priority will be given to those who can attend all six weeks. To sign up, email Julia.Devonish@roswellpark.org or call 716-845-1300, ext. 2597.
