Top Three Features Our Patients Love about the Portal

Maybe you’re worried about that rash on your hand. Maybe you just got home from an appointment with your Roswell Park physician and aren’t clear about what she told you. Then you remember — the Roswell Park Patient Portal is just a click away.

Using a computer, tablet or smartphone, you can log in to the Portal for secure access to your Roswell Park records — lab results, lists of prescriptions, information about allergies and immunizations, notes from past appointments — and much more. Here are the three most popular features:

#1: You can sign up for reminders about upcoming appointments. Choose the contact method you prefer: text message, email message, automated phone message, or any combination of the three.

You can ask to have reminders sent to someone else as well. For example, if your daughter takes you to your appointments, you can have a text message sent to her, too. Reminders are sent two days before your appointment.

#2: You can send secure messages to your Roswell Park clinical team. Let’s say a mysterious rash has appeared on your hand. You can describe the rash in a message and even upload a photo or video so someone on the team can take a look. Confused about something? Ask a question through the direct-message system.

#3: You can review your schedule of upcoming appointments and see your lab results. If you need to prepare for an appointment, you’ll find the information you need right here.

But that’s not all! While you’re logged in to the Patient Portal, you can also:

  • Read the latest issue of the patient newsletter.
  • Pay your Roswell Park bill online.
  • Sign up for HEALTHeLINK, which grants permission for all your healthcare providers (even those who aren’t at Roswell Park) to securely access your medical records so they can review information that could be critical in a medical emergency.

Explore the Patient Portal to learn more about how it can make your life easier!

So…

What if I don’t have a computer at home?

Computers are available for use, free of charge, in the Resource Center for Patients & Families inside the Sunflower Café on the first floor of the hospital.

What if I’m not comfortable using a computer?

During your next clinic appointment, you can request that someone you trust be added as an authorized user for your Patient Portal account — for example, your adult child — so that person can access your records on your behalf. If you’d like to share your medical information with other loved ones, you may designate more than one authorized user.

How do I register for the Patient Portal?

Visit https://my.roswellpark.org and click Register. You’ll need to enter the email address you want to use, your medical record number (found on your Roswell Park ID card), your date of birth, and the last four digits of your Social Security number.
