Pancreatic Cancer

If you or a loved one is facing a diagnosis of pancreas cancer, or you seek a second opinion, the oncology experts of Roswell Park Cancer Institute are here for you. We believe every patient is unique, and we approach pancreatic cancer treatment on an individual and personal basis, treating the whole person, not just the cancer.

Our experts serve on boards of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), to create guidelines based on scientific data that detail the best ways of preventing, detecting and treating specific types of cancer.

Roswell Park is a Blue Distinction Center for Complex and Rare Cancers — such as pancreatic cancer — by the BlueCross BlueShield Association. RPCI is one of only two cancer care facilities in the Western New York region and 90 nationwide that have received this distinction for complex and rare cancers.

Because pancreas cancers require highly specialized expertise for diagnosis and treatment, RPCI created a care center dedicated to patients. The center brings together surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, plus other specialists to treat both exocrine and neuroendocrine pancreas cancers.

Pioneering Clinical Trials

Roswell Park strives to find better ways to treat this disease through clinical trials, many of which have been pioneered and launched by our own translational research team.
