Brain Cancer

If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with a brain tumor or other brain disorder, the experts at Roswell Park Cancer Institute are here for you. Our Neuro-Oncology team will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that meets both your needs and preferences. Whether you need a second opinion or are seeking treatment, we can help.

Our neurosurgeons use minimally invasive surgical techniques for the removal of skull base tumors. They also use advanced intra-operative imaging and computer-assisted methods to perform the highest level of safety in removing of brain tumors.

Roswell Park is designated a Blue Distinction Center for Complex and Rare Cancers, by the BlueCross BlueShield Association. This quality designation covers the management and treatment of certain rare and complex cancers, including primary brain cancers.

While brain tumors and other brain abnormalities are rare, our Neuro-Oncology team treats them everyday. We are a high-volume cancer center and our neurosurgeons perform more than 200 surgical operations for brain tumors annually.

Our experts in central nervous system tumors help set the standards of care worldwide, serving on boards of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) to create NCCN guidelines that specify the best ways of preventing, detecting and treating specific types of cancer.

Pioneering Clinical Trials

Roswell Park strives to find better ways to treat brain cancer through clinical trials, many of which have been pioneered and launched by our own translational research team.
