Vector Development and Production Facility

The Vector Development and Production Facility (VDPF) occupies 1331 sq. ft. of space on the 6th floor of Gratwick Basic Science Building (GBSB). Key to the Division of Translational Immuno-Oncology (DTIO), the VDPF generates clinical-grade vectors/reagents that allow the genetic engineering of a patient’s cells, boosting their ability to efficiently fight cancer. The facility follows current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), manufacturing products that meet specific requirements for identity, strength, quality, and purity in the pharmaceutical field, ensuring that the generated viral vector product is suitable for clinical use and compliant with FDA guidelines. The facility manufactures gamma-retroviral and lentiviral vectors required by different investigators or sponsors.
