New Discoveries in Cancer Treatment

At the Roswell Park Center for Immunotherapy, we are changing the way cancer is treated. If you have been diagnosed with cancer, you are most likely being treated with chemotherapy, radiation, surgery or a combination of those therapies. Our mission is to bring immunotherapy to the forefront and integrate it into every aspect of cancer treatment — whether you are newly diagnosed, in remission or have had a relapse.

The future of cancer treatment is in harnessing the power of your immune system in your fight against cancer. These approaches include testing cellular therapy, cancer vaccines, oncolytic viral therapy, and immune-response modifiers such as checkpoint blockade.

Our multidisciplinary team is singularly focused on developing effective immunotherapies for cancer patients and creating a customized treatment plan for each patient. We take discoveries directly from our own lab, created by our research faculty and deliver them to the patient through high-impact Phase I and Phase II clinical trials.

We are one of the first institutions in the nation to establish a Center for Immunotherapy with state-of-the art facilities and research laboratories. This combination of core facilities and partnerships with industry and academic centers gives us the unique capability to develop and offer the next generation of immunotherapy for patients including creating vaccines, antibodies and new cellular therapies right at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY.

Our research is accelerating the pace of how cancers will be treated in the future. Using your body’s immune system, we are pioneering new cancer treatments every day to treat, control and prevent cancer.
