Bone Marrow Donor Drive

Stop by the main lobby at Roswell Park for the "Be the Match" Bone Marrow Donor Drive.

Each year more than 30,000 children and adults need life-saving bone marrow transplants. Only 30 percent will find a matching donor within their family. You can help share life by becoming a bone marrow or peripheral blood stem cell (PBSC) donor.

Donors must meet the following criteria:

  • Between 18 - 44 years of age
  • No history of cancer, diabetes or heart problems

Donor screening is FREE. A simple swab of the inside of your cheek will give the necessary tissue typing information.

If you have any questions, or if you would like to volunteer, please call Terrie Carbone at 716-845-8011 or Michael Garbin of the National Marrow Donor Program at 1-888-298-6571.
