Rosa Scrivani, LCSW-R
Rosa attended Niagara University for an undergraduate degree in Sociology and received a Masters in Social Work at SUNY at Buffalo School of Social Work in 1989. She has extensive experience in health care leadership and other clinical arenas.
She previously served as the Social Work Director at Kenmore Mercy Hospital; was a Mental Health Clinician at Spectrum Human Services and at the Western NY Institute for the Psychotherapies; was a Renal Social Worker at Millard Fillmore Gates Hospital; a Multisystemic Therapy Program Supervisor at Catholic Charities and previously the Corporate Social Work Manager for KALEIDA Health before joining the staff at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in 2002. She worked as a Medical Social Worker, and in 2008 was promoted to Senior Patient Advocate.
In July 2009, she was appointed the Director of Social Work and in 2011, became the Psychosocial Oncology Director at which time the Social Work and Psychology Departments merged. She currently serves on various administrative committees and in addition manages the Language Assistance Program. Rosa maintains a strong collaboration relationship with Erie County Hospice as she also has direct oversight of our two assigned Erie County Hospice RN Liaisons. She is a member of NASW and AOSW. In November 2011, Rosa was a co-author of an article published in the Health & Social Work Journal.
