The HCA assists in escorting patients to the rooms, shares basic input from the patient and family with the RNs/LPNs, reviews care given to the patient and reports the care to the RN or immediate supervisor, performs a limited number of patient observations and treatment procedures using detailed standard procedures and guidelines to assist and maintain patients’ health, attends to patients daily living activities, personal hygienic and simple human needs in order to maintain and atmosphere conducive to treatment and comfort for patients.
Applicants must have a High School diploma or G.E.D. with previous training or experience in a hospital or healthcare environment.
The preferred candidate will have prior experience on a surgical floor and CNA certification.
