Works directly for the Engineering Maintenance Manager(s) in the construction, repair and preventive maintenance of various utilities and building infrastructure systems within the RPCI campus; works assigned shift and primarily on systems, including but not limited to, HVAC, plumbing, steam and condensate, chilled water and condensing water, domestic, sewer and fire protection water systems; works occasionally on electrical, painting, and carpentry work; performs troubleshooting and repair activities; participates proactively in the energy conservation initiatives of the Institute; assists in carrying out Joint Commission (TJC) related activities.
High School diploma or G.E.D. and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time experience in several aspects of facilities systems installation and repair, including experience in two (2) or more of the following: steam and condensate systems, chilled and condensed water systems, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection systems, and electrical systems, plus demonstrated competency in welding that has been verified by a certified welding inspector from the American Welding Society or other RPCI-approved certified welding inspection entity.
