Title Molecular Mechanisms Involved in Cancer Predisposition
Principal Investigator Nicoleta Voian, MD PhD
Study Number 125808
Summary To identify genetic (DNA-based) biochemical (enzymatic, protein-based) and mRNA changes that are associated with cancers.
- Personal or family history of cancer
- Inherited cancer predisposition including young age at cancer diagnosis, multiple primary sites, presence of rate tumor types
- Clinical presentation of disease that is suggestive of a genetic mutation
- membership in a group known or suspected to have an increased risk (ex: asbestos workers, multiple dysplastic nevi in the absence of a family history of cancer, descendent from a particular tribe in the American Southwest who have an increased incidence of a rare genetic alteration associated with an increased risk)
