Summary In patients with isolated pulmonary or pleural metastases at the initial diagnosis of Ewing sarcoma (R2 pulm) to compare event free (EFS) and overall survival (OS) in a randomized study of vincristine-actinomycin D-ifosfamide consolidation combined with whole lung irradiation vs. megatherapy using busulfan -melphalan conditioning followed by stem cell infusion.

Eligibility

Patients must be less than 50 years old at time of study enrollment with isolated pulmonary or pleural metastases at the initial diagnosis of Ewing sarcoma
No previous chemotherapy
Adequate renal and cardiac function
