BUFFALO, NY Dan Gernatt, Jr. has been named a trustee of the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation Board. Mr. Gernatt is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of The Gernatt Family of Companies (Gernatt Asphalt Products, Inc.; Dan Gernatt Gravel Products, Inc.; and Country Side Sand & Gravel, Inc.).
He is largely responsible for the expansion of the business to over 10 locations in Western New York, making the Gernatt Family of Companies the largest state-approved sand and gravel aggregate supplier in New York State.
Mr. Gernatt is a Trustee of Hilbert College and a 25-year veteran of the Collins Volunteer Fire Department. He has served as an outside director of the MTB Group of Funds for M&T Bank for over 20 years and is a past National Director of the Classic Car Club of America. He also sits on the Classic Car Club’s National Museum Board.
He is a member of the Congressional Leadership Council and an Associate Member of the Erie County Chairmen’s Association. In addition to the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, Mr. Gernatt is a dedicated and active supporter of many charitable organizations, including the American Heart Association and the March of Dimes.
The Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, founded in 1991, is a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit organization formed to receive and administer funds supporting scientific and clinical research, state-of-the-art medical care, and patient-related activities at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
Roswell Park Cancer Institute, founded in 1898, is the nation’s first cancer research, treatment and education center.
