BUFFALO, NY - Neal Wilkinson, MD, has joined the clinical faculty of Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) as a physician and Associate Professor of Surgery in the Surgical Oncology department. Dr. Wilkinson, who had previously served a fellowship at RPCI, was with the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa before his current appointment at RPCI. His specialty is surgical oncology with a focus on gastrointestinal malignancies.

Dr. Wilkinson has been honored with awards throughout his career, including being a two-time winner of the Outstanding Teaching Award Surgical Residents from the University of Iowa. He is published in multiple formats and has been a presenter at prestigious conferences such as the Society of Surgical Oncology’s Annual Cancer Symposium and the Gastrointestinal Cancer Symposium.

He serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for several journals and publications and on cancer advisory committees at both the state and national levels. Dr. Wilkinson graduated from Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed a residency in general surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is certified by the American Board of Surgery.
