Nefertiti duPont, MD, MPH, FACOG, joined the faculty of the Department of Gynecologic Oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) in September 2008. She is the founder and director of the High Risk Ovarian Cancer Clinic at RPCI. Dr. duPont’s clinical practice and research interests focus on cancer disparities, smoking cessation, and the diagnosis, treatment and management of ovarian and cervical cancers.
Dr. duPont earned her medical degree from Texas A&M University College of Medicine in College Station, Texas, in 1999; completed residency training at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in 2003; and completed a gynecologic oncology fellowship at the University of California, Irvine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Division of Gynecologic Oncology in Orange, California, in 2007.
She came to RPCI from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Gillings School of Global Public Health, Department of Health Policy and Management, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where she earned a Master of Public Health degree.
Dr. duPont is licensed in California and New York. She is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and gynecologic oncology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American College of Surgeons, the Christian Medical Association, the American Public Health Association, the American College of Physician Executives, and the Society of Gynecologic Oncology. Dr. duPont has authored or coauthored several journal articles.
