Pastoral Care Visitors' Training Program

The Pastoral Care Visitors’ Training Program at Roswell Park Cancer Institute is designed to provide men and women, ordained and non-ordained of various faith traditions with theoretical, theological and practical approaches to Pastoral Care.

This program is designed to provide men and women of various faiths with professional training in practical approaches to pastoral care. There are four components to this training program. Students attend a four-hour lecture series on Monday evenings; clinical visitation is scheduled throughout the week; small group meetings to discuss patient visitations; and each student meets with a supervising chaplain three times during the training.

The Pastoral  Care Visitors Training Program is offered every other year. The next training will begin September 2013. Applications will be taken for this program beginning in March of 2013.

Pastoral Care Lecture Series
The Pastoral Care Lecture Series at Roswell Park Cancer Institute is open to all interested persons who would like to update themselves on health care issues and pastoral care.
