Cyclists and Volunteers Gear Up for The Ride For Roswell

“Packet Pick Up Party” offers riders and supporters the chance to rally ahead of June 26’s 15th Anniversary Ride For Roswell
WHAT: Riders and volunteers of The Ride For Roswell 2010 will gather at the University at Buffalo to rally and prepare for the June 26 event in support of Roswell Park Cancer Institute. The “Packet Pick-Up Party” will give both riders and volunteers the chance to meet up with their teams, turn in pledges and take part in important preparations like bicycle inspections and safety seminars. The party will also feature live music and refreshments, giving participants the opportunity to celebrate their fundraising accomplishments in the final days before The Ride.

WHEN: Thursday, June 24 from 4 pm – 8 pm
INTERVIEWS AVAILABLE: Riders, volunteers and event chairs—many of whom are cancer patients or survivors—will be available for interview.

It will take place on Saturday, June 26 at University at Buffalo’s Baird Point on the North Campus in Amherst. Riders can choose from nine different routes, including the 100-mile Century Ride. Roswell Park Cancer Institute, founded in 1898, is the nation’s first cancer research, treatment and education center.
