Adolescent and Young Adults (AYA) Program Acknowledges Young Adult Cancer Week

Wednesday, April 6, 2011

The week of April 3 - 9 is Young Adult Cancer Awareness Week. 70,000 young adults between 15 - 39 years old are diagnosed with cancer each year. Roswell Park Cancer Institute is committed to improving the lives of our young adult patients. Through the Steadfast Foundation and as a member of the LiveSTRONG Young Adult Alliance, our Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Program hopes to address the needs of these patients and survivors.

Resources for AYA patients and more information about the AYA program will be available in the main lobby and outside the cafeteria throughout this week.

For more information on the AYA Program at RPCI, please contact Lynda Kwon Beaupin, MD, coordinator at 716-845-2333 or email lynda.beaupin@roswellpark.org.
