Biography: 

Marianne E. Hanley, Esq., joined the administrative staff of Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) in 2002, as Counsel for Risk Management and Corporate Compliance. She oversees the medical staff office, promotes the integration of risk management and quality assurance activities and coordinates, implements and monitors RPCI’s corporate compliance program and activities. Prior to her employment at RPCI, Ms. Hanley served as an original member of the RPCI Merit Board, which was established to act as the civil service commission for RPCI employees, and served as Chairperson in 2001.

Ms. Hanley came to RPCI from the Buffalo law firm of Magavern, Magavern & Grimm, LLP, where she was a partner and practiced law for 22 years, specializing in health law and civil litigation. She earned her Juris Doctor degree in 1979 from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School.

Ms. Hanley is a member of the Health Law Committees of Erie County and New York State Bar Association and a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.
