Outlook for Buffalo’s future is now $100 million brighter

More than $5 million of that money will back initiatives for Roswell Park Cancer Institute researchers to build a data base that includes genetic information gathered from volunteer participants from throughout the Buffalo Niagara region. The plan is to start out with a pilot program ... with hopes that it ultimately would be expanded to include genetic data for as many as 100,000 people, said Candace Johnson, Roswell Park’s deputy director.
