Biography: 

Gregory A. McDonald joined the administration of Roswell Park Cancer Institute in 1995 and was appointed Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2004.

Mr. McDonald is responsible for planning, leading, organizing and directing the activities of the Institute’s Department of Finance, and serves as senior staff member of the Finance Committee of the RPCI Board of Directors. As a key member of senior management, he influences the strategic agenda for Roswell Park and is directly responsible for financial policy and development of financial systems and processes that support decision making, financial reporting and internal controls.

Mr. McDonald also has served as Controller and Assistant Vice President of Finance (1995-2004) at RPCI. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at Niagara University in 1991, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Health Care Financial Professional (CHFP). Prior to joining Roswell Park, he was a member of Ernst & Young’s professional services firm with his primary focus being healthcare public accounting.

Mr. McDonald is a member of several professional organizations including the Healthcare Financial Management Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
