Chimeras
Currently, the Transgenic and Gene Targeting Facility at Roswell Park generates chimeras via the injection of embryonic stem(ES)cells into blastocysts. Chimeras that have been generated through our facility include those that have undergone modification via gene targeting, gene trapping, transgenesis, and those in which genes have been knocked down via siRNA methods.
Regardless of who has performed these modifications, we will inject your ES cells as long as they are submitted with a health status report.
Below you will find both an Overview of the time it takes to produce chimeras, as well as the record of success in generating chimeras through our facility.
