Dr. Abdelhalim came to Roswell Park after a two-year Fellowship in Neuroradiology and Head/Neck Radiology at the Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester Medical Center, Rochester, New York. Prior to that he trained in Radiology, Ain Shams University Hospitals, Cairo, Egypt.

A senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology, Ahmed fully participates in all aspects of the neuroradiology service, and, as he has refined his skills in computer-based neurovascular imaging (CTA and MRA), he has expanded into cardiovascular imaging; he is currently Operations Director of the Roswell Radiology Cardiac Imaging Group.

His Fellowship at Strong Memorial Hospital included advanced training in pediatric neuro and head-neck imaging, and Ahmed has been appointed Staff Pediatric Neuroradiologist at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, sharing that service with Dr. Ron Alberico, Roswell’s Director of Neuroradiology.

Dr. Abdelhalim is an active, sought-after teacher of both medical students and fellows and has authored three book chapters 2007-2008.
