NOW U KNOW

Life expectancy for those diagnosed with cancer has improved in recent years, however, not everyone in Western New York has benefitted. African-Americans and Hispanics, for example, are more often diagnosed with cancer in later stages when cure is less likely.

The Office of Cancer Health Disparities (OCHD) at the world-renowned Roswell Park Cancer Institute is dedicated to research that advances the understanding of these disparities, and to developing and offering integrated community-based services and educational programs tailored to meet the needs of these populations.

NOW U KNOW is a new approach to efficiently offering our comprehensive menu of evidenced-based cancer prevention and control programs that are available at Roswell Park through the OCHD to individuals and community organizations throughout the Western New York-region, especially those that service minority and underserved communities, through:
