The Hematology Center staff and faculty treat acute and chronic leukemias, Hodgkin disease, non-Hodgkin lymphomas, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes and all other hematologic disorders.

Experts on hematologic disorders use conventional and experimental chemotherapeutic and immunotherapeutic approaches, often in combination with other therapies, such as blood and marrow transplantation, in an attempt to increase antitumor activity without increasing toxicity; and to effectively treat diseases of the blood and lymphatic systems.

The Hematology Team provides high-dose chemotherapy treatments for leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma patients. Faculty have developed new regimens for both autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplantation for leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumors and aplastic anemia.
