Description of Duties:
The Department of Medicine at Roswell Park Cancer Institute has an opportunity for a BE/BC Internal Medicine physician to join our Hospitalist Team of five full-time physicians. The Hospitalist Team supports our Medical Oncologist by providing service response for codes, consultations, inpatient episodic medical care and patient admission/discharge.
Roswell Park Cancer Institute, America's first cancer center founded in 1898, is located in Buffalo, New York, and is the only Upstate New York facility to hold the National Cancer Institute “comprehensive cancer center” designation and membership in the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. It includes basic science departments of Immunology, Genetics, Drug Development, Molecular Biology and Biophysics that complement nationally prominent departments of Surgery, Radiation Medicine, Diagnostic Radiology and Medicine operating in a new state-of-the-art clinical cancer facility which opened in June 1998. Ideal candidates will have exemplary clinical skills, a strong interest in teaching house staff and a long-term commitment to inpatient medicine. Candidates must be BE/BC in Internal Medicine and possess ACLS Certification.
