Description of Duties:
The Ambulatory Nursing Supervisor will be a Registered Professional Nurse who plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates the functions pertaining to nursing care activities and the efficient operation/management of all surgical and special procedure patient and recovery areas in the Endoscopy Suite.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, appropriate certification, 16 CEU’s annually and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time nursing experience in an oncology support setting; or a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, appropriate certification, 16 CEU’s annually and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time nursing experience in an acute care support setting.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Cancer Institute as following acceptable educational practices.
The preferred candidate will have at least three (3) years of experience as an Endoscopy Nurse and at least two (2) years of experience as a Nurse Manager in Endoscopy or a related field. The preferred candidate will also have experience facilitating teambuilding and group collaboration; strong leadership and management skills; ability and initiative to manage multiple complex projects and priorities; and excellent oral and written communication skills.
