Description of Duties: 

Provides instrumentation support and preparation of the Operating Room Suite for the next day's surgery; assist in SPD with instrumentation preparation as needed; works with HCA staff to ensure that all rooms have the appropriate and correct equipment and instruments; communicates daily with Nurse Administrator regarding room set up and any problems/needs identified; works closely with SPD to ensure appropriate instrumentation for cases; monitors sterility of supplies, equipment and instruments for all cases; and provides feedback to appropriate supervisory personnel as needed.

Qualifications: 

1.Associate’s degree in surgical technology with graduation from an accredited OR Technician Program; or
2.Two (2) years of OR Technician or related experience gained through military service.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Cancer Institute as following acceptable educational practices.

The preferred candidate will have graduated from an accredited Surgical Technology program and have one (1) year experience as a Scrub Technologist along with and excellent attendance record.

Hours/Shift: 
Nights (9:30 pm - 6:00 am)
Salary: 
$38,612 annually. Includes a comprehensive benefits package
