Description of Duties: 

The HRI Senior Financial Analyst analyzes key HRI financial metrics; identifies patterns and recommendations to address trends on a monthly basis; utilizes accounting systems and other financial systems to prepare detailed analysis and present its financial impact; provides operational and financial analysis support to executive management; prepares documentation on strategic planning; performs the following analysis, but not limited to: HRI budget preparation, monthly financial variance analysis, Technology transfer analysis, Clinical Research Services analysis, preparation of AdHoc reports related to financial health, cash modeling, investment performance, banking costs, AR trends and projections, fringe rate and indirect cost rate proposal preparation; prepares Board presentations; prepares indirect revenue projections and monthly analysis; prepares HRI Annual Report and assists RPCI with annual reporting need.

Qualifications: 

Applicants must possess a Master’s degree in Business Administration; or
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in a healthcare, academic research or non-profit research setting.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Cancer Institute as following acceptable educational practices.

The preferred candidate will be a CPA and have three (3) years of full-time experience in financial management within a research or hospital setting. The preferred candidate will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience with MS Word, Excel, Access, Adobe Acrobat, and Internet; ability to work independently and with a service-oriented team; excellent customer service skills; ability to solve complex problems; ability to meet deadlines and multi-task.

Hours/Shift: 
M-F, Days
Salary: 
$63,170 annually. Includes a comprehensive benefits package.
