Prostate cancer is not just a man’s disease. Women are impacted in profound and unique ways when a loved one has prostate cancer. To help empower women with the knowledge, resources and support they need, Roswell Park Cancer Institute is supporting the Western New York Chapter of Women Against Prostate Cancer (WAPC).

About WAPC
WAPC is a national organization dedicated to developing a grassroots network of women volunteers who have been adversely affected by prostate cancer. The group aims to support women and their families by providing access to resources and supportive programming. WAPC is set up to be a tool for women to harness the power of their voices as being affected by prostate cancer and advance national and state-based policy, media, and educational efforts.

For more information contact Chapter President, Joan Peck, at (716) 675-7381 or Kate Grandits, Licensed Master Social Worker and WAPC group facilitator, at (716) 845-8554.
