Comparison of Estimated Performance Rates for Colon Cancer Diagnosed
The performance rates below are computed based on data directly reported from RPCI’s Registry to the National Cancer Data Base (NCDB) using specifications endorsed by the National Quality Forum (NQF). Comparison groups include similarly classified CoC-approved cancer programs (community cancer program, comprehensive community cancer program, or teaching/research center) with geographical locations (state, US census region, or nationally). Rates are computed based on data directly reported from CoC-approved cancer program registries to the NCDB. The performance rates, 95% confidence intervals around those rates, and the number of cases included in the denominator reflect November 2008 updates for each comparison group.
