Biography:

Laurel A. DiBrog joined the administrative staff of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY in 1997, and is currently the Chief Marketing and Communication Officer and Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications. She had previously served as Vice President of Marketing, City of Hope Cancer Center & Beckman Research Institute, Los Angeles, CA.

In the nearly 30 years she has spent as a senior administrator with two of the nation’s leading cancer centers, Ms. DiBrog has helped drive national conversations about cancer care and positioned these institutions to successfully navigate a period of unprecedented change in health care delivery and regulation. At both centers, she led and was involved in strategizing the national cancer agenda efforts and led the implementation of marketing and communication plans that delivered global impact.

Her major foci at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center are brand elevation, brand reputation management and driving institutional growth through ongoing engagement with Roswell Park constituents. Ms. DiBrog’s primary responsibilities at Roswell Park are the planning and execution of market strategies that support the scientific, clinical and academic mission of the organization. Towards those ends, she has created a full service in-house agency staffed by experts in areas that include digital marketing and business strategy solutions; public relations/crisis management; creative services and audio/visual media; market intelligence data support; and customer relationship management. As a member of the President/CEO’s senior management team, she spearheads and supports enterprise-wide initiatives.

Often recognized for her work, Ms. DiBrog earned a 2015 New York Emmy for her involvement in the medical documentary, Cancer Can’t Win. Among other marketing and public relations honors, she has also received two Telly Awards and a Hermes Platinum Award for the documentary, Living with Fear. She is a graduate of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA and holds a Certificate in Managing Healthcare Delivery from the Harvard Business School, Cambridge, MA.

Ms. DiBrog is the Treasurer of the Public Affairs & Marketing Network of the National Cancer Institute Cancer Centers. She is a member of the board of directors for the Buffalo Sabres Foundation. Ms. DiBrog is sought after as a presenter and panelist for national cancer industry associations.

In her spare time, Ms. DiBrog is an avid horse person and enjoys theatre, live music, and the visual/performing arts.
