Dr. Naoyuki G. Saito joined the staff of Roswell Park Cancer Institute in 2005, as Attending Physician in the Department of Radiation Medicine and as an Assistant Member of the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics.
Dr. Saito earned a doctorate in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics (1998) and a medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania (2000) through the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his residency training in Radiation Oncology at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Saito’s research interests include the molecular mechanisms of cell death as it relates to radiation therapy as well as rational design of small molecule drugs as enhancers of cell death.
Dr. Saito is a member of several professional organizations including American Association of Cancer Research, American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Medical Association, American Society of Hematology, and the American College of Radiation Oncology.
Dr. Saito has authored or co-authored several publications covering the topics of cellular immunology, structural biology and clinical radiation oncology.
