In the true spirit of the holiday season, Buffalo Place has developed an unprecedented collaboration between Ryan Miller’s Saves for Cancer Campaign, Roswell Park and Shea’s Performing Arts Center. Immediately following the lighting of the tree, Shea’s Smith Theatre will host a meet and greet with Ryan Miller and very special guests, the world-famous Radio City Rockettes. One hundred tickets at $100 each will be made available for this exclusive meet and greet. Tickets will include admission to The Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes, 7:00pm performance on Sunday, November 23rd at Shea’s Performing Arts Center. Partial proceeds will benefit Carly’s Club at Roswell Park. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by contacting Kate Foster, Shea’s Group Sales, at 716-829-1154 or by email at kfoster@sheas.org.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase a limited-edition Saves for Cancer holiday ornament. Each collectible ornament proudly displays the Saves for Cancer logo and a screened Ryan Miller autograph with Ryan's jersey number, 30, on the back. Or, reserve your ornament today by visiting the Saves for Cancer website. Proceeds benefit Carly's Club through pediatric cancer research and patient support programs at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
“This is a great way to kick-off the holiday season in Downtown Buffalo, while raising awareness and providing resources to those suffering the ill-effects and life-altering consequences of childhood cancer. My hope is for all of Western New York to join me at the Downtown Christmas Tree Lighting to help provide for those in need,” said Ryan Miller.
After the tree lighting, the fun continues at Rotary Rink with visits with Santa, holiday gifts and free ice-skating. There is a $2.00 skate rental fee for children and $3.00 skate rental fee for adults. We encourage you to bring your own skates and enjoy free ice-skating. Santa and his elves will visit with children from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
