Description
The Research Media Supply Center is a central service which supplies bulk quantities of cell culture medium, sterile buffers and high purity water to laboratories at Roswell Park.

Operating Schedule
Weekdays, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. But several vendor's have 24 hour automated access.

Investigators should contact Elva Winslow, extension 8257, to establish a user account or concerning production scheduling. Questions may also be directed to Dr. Margot lp at extension 2356.
Services
The Tissue Culture Media Facility prepares large batches of culture medium from powder purchased in bulk. For RPMI-1640, the most frequently used medium by Roswell Park investigators, the Facility procures powder sufficient for a one-year supply. These media are produced to meet the needs of the investigator, thus ensuring a constant supply of fresh medium of uniform lot number. Investigators can also supply powders of other types of tissue culture media or custom formulations, and a production schedule can be established with the investigator. In addition to medium, bottled sterile phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) is supplied according to the needs of the investigator and high purity water is available in bulk to all laboratories. Second day delivery is available to any RPCI building Monday through Thursday.

Billing Procedure
A billing will be sent out monthly. All charges are expected to be settled on a pay - as - you- go basis, via supply fund transfers into the HRI media lab service account.
Delivery
In the GCDC, media can be picked up at the media lab during the above working hours. Second day delivery is available to any RPCI building. Monday - Thursday.
