Survey Research and Data Acquisition Resource
MISSION
The mission of the Survey Research and Data Acquisition Resource (SRDAR) is to create a collaborative core resource within RPCI that can provide data collection and study design services for investigators from different CCSG Programs.
DESCRIPTION
SRDAR is a core resource in the Department of Health Behavior, in the Cancer Prevention Program. SRDAR has a strong portfolio of both population-based and clinical-based research, with expertise conceptualizing and developing protocols and survey instruments, administering cognitive interviews, structured interviews, telephone interviews and clinical trial recruitment and follow-up. SRDAR can also provide assistance with protocol development and dissemination of findings. The main production area of SRDAR is located on the 1st floor of the Carlton House and houses over 20 workstations, each equipped with telephone and computer equipment connected to the RPCI information network and fitted with word processing, presentation, and survey execution software. Data management staff members are equipped with statistical analysis software (SPSS). Staff members are trained on IRB-approved, project-specific protocols and the protection of human research subjects. Ongoing supervision, training, quality assurance and quality control measures are in place to ensure the integrity of our data.
