Proteomics Resources

Phone: (716) 845-4471 The mission of Proteomics Resources is to establish a fully-integrated state-of-the-art core to apply, promote and facilitate application of proteomic analyses to research at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Proteomics Resources offers an array of cutting-edge techniques for separation, identification and characterization of proteins. The core is capable of characterizing differential expression of proteins, their post-translational modifications and protein-protein interactions. The core will also offer MudPIT (multidimensional protein identification technology) service coupled with tandem mass spectrometry. Proteomics Resources is equipped with MALDI-ToF and nanoLC-nanoESI/MS/MS capable Q-ToF mass spectrometer. Triple quadruple (3Q) and ion-Trap mass spectrometers are also available for use in the Biopolymer facility at the institute. The core will also serve the greater research community of Western New York by providing cutting-edge proteomics technologies. A steering committee, comprised of Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) program representatives, meets quarterly with the proteomics team to promote program/service initiatives at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. |
