Kariapper, Muhammed Taju, PhD
E-mail: MuhammedTaju.Kariapper@RoswellPark.orgDr. Kariapper who comes from a multidisciplinary research background joined the Department of Radiation Medicine, Roswell Park Cancer Institute in October of 2004. He earned his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Toledo, Ohio. After graduation he underwent post doctoral training at the Medical School of University of Michigan studying TGF-alpha/Smad and sonic hedgehog signaling pathways using biochemical, cell & molecular biological methods, and transgenic mouse tumor model. Later he joined the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Michigan where he was studying molecular and magnetic resonance imaging of small animal models as well as anti-angiogenesis research.
His current nanotechnology based translational and preclinical research in Dr. Khan’s laboratory focuses on designing and biological characterization of nanodevices for cancer imaging and therapy
