Huss, Wendy, PhD

Wendy Huss, PhD
Dr. Wendy Huss joined the Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) in 2005 as Assistant Professor in the Department of Urologic Oncology. In 2008 she joined the Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics.
Dr. Huss earned her doctoral degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX, in 2001 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine from the University of North Carolina.
Dr. Huss has demonstrated ABCG2-medicated efflux of androgen in putative prostate stem cells and her research interests include the role of androgen regulation or prostate stem cells and targeting the malignant prostate stem cell as a source of recurrent prostate cancer.
Dr. Huss is a member of the American Association for Cancer Research, Society of Basic Urologic Research and Women in Cancer Research. She has authored or co-authored more than 30 articles and abstracts.
