
| Dr. Karpf received his Ph.D. degree in Biology at the University of Texas at Austin and conducted postdoctoral research at the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He joined the faculty of Roswell Park Cancer Institute in 2003. He is a Florida native and enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and outdoor activities. |

| Smitha James has been a Research Associate at Roswell Park since 2003. She received her MS in Environmental Sciences from Bharathidasan University, Trichy, India and also earned her MS in Medical Technology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Outside of work, she relishes spending time with her two little boys, Ryan and Shane and loves to experiment with food. |
 | Petra A. Link graduated from D'Youville College with a B.S. in Biology and a Chemistry minor; she joined the Karpf Lab in 2004. Petra is a native of Dachau, Germany. In her spare time she tends to her 7 cats, snake and enjoys gardening. She also is NYS licensed volunteer wildlife rehabilitator volunteering for RARE and Messinger Woods wildlife hospital, and an active member of the Niagara Frontier Orchid Society. |

| Shannon, a native of New York, enjoys the outdoors which spurred her interests in science. She received her B.S. degree from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in 2002, with a major in Environmental and Forest Biology and certification in Plant Science. She is currently working on her Ph.D. thesis research at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in the department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics. She loves spending time with her husband, pets and plants.
