National Minority Cancer Awareness Week
National Minority Cancer Awareness Week
April 20-26 marks the 15th anniversary of National Minority Cancer Awareness Week. The purpose of the week is to foster collaborations with local agencies and organizations to develop programs that reach members of disparate populations with cancer prevention, early detection and screening information. These differences in health, health care or general well-being are more often seen among ethnic populations and the medically underserved and/or uninsured.
