The Breast Cancer Center has among the best documented outcomes for breast surgery in the United States with over 75% of women with early-stage breast cancer treated by breast-conserving surgery (the national average is 50%). The Center also offers many new treatments through a clinical trials program, and offers patients the opportunity to participate in translational research studies conducted with basic science departments at RPCI.
