NCCN Advanced Cancer and Palliative Care - Palliative Care is care that relieves suffering and improves the quality of a patient's life. It is care that treats symptoms caused by the cancer treatment or symptoms caused by the disease. Although palliative care is given throughout all stages of the cancer to some degree, for purposes of this guideline, the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) has chosen to focus on palliative care given during the last year of life.
NCCN Cancer Pain – This NCCN guideline focuses on how your health care providers can assist with cancer related pain. It provides helpful information for patients for whom controlling pain and managing symptoms are important goals of treatment. Pain affects all aspects of quality of life. Patients who have chronic pain (pain ranging from mild to severe and present for a long time) may not be able to participate in their regular activities as much, may have sleeping and eating problems, and may be frustrated that family and friends do not always understand how they feel.
NCCN Nausea and Vomiting - These patient guidelines will help you better understand nausea and vomiting treatment and your doctor’s counsel. Nausea and vomiting is one of the most feared side effects of cancer treatment. With newer and more effective medicines to control nausea and vomiting, people do not have to suffer.
NCCN Prevention and Treatment of Cancer-Related Infections - This patient guideline is meant to help you when you talk with your doctor or nurse about what is best for you. The guideline will help you to better understand fever and how it is treated when a person has neutropenia (too few infection-fighting white blood cells). It also gives some background about a patient's risk for and treatment of infection during cancer treatment, and suggests ways to help reduce this risk.

Some people with cancer also have problems with coordination. All of these symptoms may be caused by peripheral neuropathy.
