The Division of Social Work at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) can provide short-term assistance to those determined to have financial difficulty with transportation expenses and parking fees in the Parking Ramp, until other services can be arranged.

Patients or families requesting parking validation will be referred to a Social Worker for a financial assessment. Additional sources of assistance will be discussed with the patient to help resolve long-term needs.

Discount parking ($3.00 maximum daily charge) is available for all inpatients (or the driver of a patient) for the day of admission and the day of discharge, and for all outpatients for every clinic visit. Patients or drivers must present their Parking Ramp ticket and patient green card at the Information Desk in the lobby for validation at the time of registration or when leaving.

Patients covered under Medicaid may be eligible for reimbursement of transportation expenses. Contact your Medicaid Case Worker for information. Patients also may be eligible for transportation to RPCI if their visits are ordered by their physicians. Forms are available in the Division of Social Work located in Room G552, Ground Floor.

Patients or caregivers who come to the hospital on a daily or frequent basis may be eligible for the discounted rate of $1.50 per day. As key cards are no longer sold, this rate is meant to serve those who would otherwise purchase a key card. Information on this option is available at the Information Desk Monday - Friday from 8 am - 8 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 8 pm.

Financial assistance with mileage, tolls, and parking expenses may be available through the American Cancer Society or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Information regarding these agencies is available in the Division of Social Work at RPCI or by contacting the local office of either organization.

Patients who are eligible for a disabled parking permit may obtain an application from the Division of Social Work or the Safety & Security Office (entrance at RPCI).

Valet parking is available for patients and visitors, Monday - Friday, 7 am - 6 pm, at no additional charge. Valet attendant located at main entrance to hospital.
