Ms. Gerretsen joined RPCI in 1999 as an RN, and worked in the ICU, PACU and  joined the HNS team in 2007 after completing her graduate education. 
 
Ms. Gerretsen completed her undergraduate training at Niagara University in 1999, and graduate training in 2007 at SUNY Stony Brook.  Post-masters training was completed in 2008 at University of Rochester as an RNFA (RN First Assistant).
 
Ms. Gerretsen is licensed in New York and certified as an Nurse Practitioner by the AANP, and as a CPAN (certified post anesthesia nurse) by the ASPAN (American Society of Perianesthesia Nurses).
 
In addition, Ms. Gerretsen is a member of AANP, ASPAN, and Sigma Theta Tau (honor society of nursing).
