Pauline M. Cole, MS, ANP-C, joined the staff at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) in 1997 as nurse practitioner in the department of Pain and Palliative Care, then Neurosurgery/Neuro-oncology in 2000 and in 2007 joined Dr. Wong in Medical Oncology.
Ms. Cole earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the State University of New York at Buffalo (UB) in 1974. She furthered her studies at UB by receiving her Master of Science in Nursing, Clinical Specialist in Rehabilitation in 1989 and her Post-Master’s Nurse Practitioner, Adult Primary Care in 1995. Ms. Cole studied as an RN First-Assistant at St. James Hospital and Healthcare Center/Prairie State College, Chicago, Illinois in 2000. She has since taken nursing courses at UB and RPCI.
Ms. Cole is licensed by the American Red Cross for Advanced Cardiac Life Support, the American Heart Association in CPR and has an American Nursing Credentialing Center Certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner.
Ms. Cole is a member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of Western New York and New York State, the Oncology Nursing Society, both the Western New York Chapter and the National Chapter and the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses.
Ms. Cole has co-authored a pending publication for the European Journal of Neurosurgery.
